ICFP 2025 Opening Press Conference
The press conference will be hosted by Claudia Palacios, one of Colombia’s most respected journalists and authors, who will guide the conversation and moderate audience engagement.
Opening remarks by Phil Anglewicz of the William H. Gates Sr. Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, co-organizer of ICFP 2025. He will frame the overarching themes of this year’s conference and what to expect over the next four days.
Marta Royo, Executive Director of Profamilia, will provide an overview of Colombia’s leadership, 60 years of SRHR work and highlight what the world can learn from Colombia’s solutions.
Dr. Samukeliso Dube is the Executive Director of FP2030, bringing over 20 years of global health leadership to drive expanded access to voluntary family planning.
Mena Agbodjavou, on behalf of Centre for Research in Human Reproduction and Demography and Rutgers, will announce new data on unsafe abortions in West/Central Africa (Rutgers New Safe Abortion Access Report).
