Launching The Frontline Report: Meet Esenam Amuzu, FPNN’s First Community Reporter

The Family Planning News Network (FPNN) is proud to launch the Frontline Report, a new virtual series built to showcase the voices, stories, and solutions being uncovered by the growing network of SRHR reporters and journalists engaging with FPNN.

Leading this bold step forward is Esenam Amuzu, FPNN’s first Community Reporter and co-designer of the Community Reporting approach. Esenam will launch The Frontline Report during ICFP 2025 from the Live Stage.

Her mission is to harness the power of more than 2,200+ community reporters on the frontlines, bringing untold stories into focus and shaping conversations that matter.

Esenam is not new to this space. Her reporting on FPNN has already taken readers inside some of the biggest conversations in SRHR, from youth leadership at the United Nations General Assembly to what real equity looks like on the ground in Nigeria and beyond. She connects big global commitments with the people and communities driving change. Every story she tells carries the same spark: curiosity, accountability, and a clear call to listen closer.

She was there from the beginning as a Trailblazer New host. Now, Esenam steps into a new role as the lead for FPNN’s global network of community reporters. She will guide a growing group of sharp, passionate reporters around the world, helping them build skills, deepen storytelling, and bring forward the voices of those who are closest to the work.

“The Frontline Report is about more than headlines,” Esenam says. “It is about showing the power of solutions from the frontline and the people behind them. Community reporters are not just observers. They are part of the story.”

With the Frontline Report, FPNN is putting community-led journalism at the center. This is where solutions reporting transforms the typical consumable narratives, where insights from local reporters inform global conversations, and where stories move beyond data to reveal what change really looks like.

You can expect fresh perspectives from a vast network that reflects the urgency and energy of the SRHR movement.

Explore Esenam’s previous reporting here and stay tuned for the very first edition of the Frontline Report. This is the beginning of a new era for FPNN and for the hundreds of community reporters helping to shape the global narrative on SRHR.
