Youth empowerment, gender equality & media innovation: The Global Girls Glow Youth Reporters at ICFP 2025
By FPNN News Desk
This year at the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP 2025), a new generation of storytellers is taking the mic.
Through a powerful partnership between Global GLOW, the Family Planning News Network (FPNN), FP2030 and ICFP 2025, about twenty young reporters between the ages of 10 and 18 will join the global conversation on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), learning firsthand how media can be a force for change.

Training Tomorrow’s Voices
Before the conference begins, the Global Girls Glow Reporting Team will take part in a special training program designed to introduce them to the fundamentals of journalism, storytelling, and advocacy. Led by FPNN, FP2030 LAC Hub, and Global GLOW mentors, the sessions will help participants:
Understand the power of media in shaping global health narratives.
Learn practical storytelling and interviewing skills.
Explore how gender equality and SRHR connect to the lives of girls and young people worldwide.
Produce their own stories and reflections from Bogotá and beyond.
Global GLOW has long worked to ignite girls’ confidence and leadership through storytelling and advocacy. Partnering with FPNN and ICFP 2025 extends that mission onto a global stage, providing these young reporters with real-world platforms to tell stories that matter. Together, we’re creating a bridge between youth empowerment, gender equality, and media innovation.
Follow Their Stories
