Introducing Sex O’Clock News: A Bold New FPNN News Series by Dina Chaerani

Sexual Rights are Not Side Notes. THEY ARE FRONT-PAGE NEWS!

FPNN is proud to launch Sex O’Clock News with Dina Chaerani, a radically honest, youth-led series diving into what shapes young people’s attitudes toward sex, pleasure, and sexual health.

In a world flooded with misinformation, trusted sources are too rare. That’s why we’re turning up the volume.

We couldn’t ask for a stronger voice than Dina, a powerhouse storyteller from Indonesia who’s been breaking the silence and challenging shame through bold, community-rooted sex education. As Dina puts it in her series introduction:

“Hi, I’m Dina. Born and raised in a conservative Muslim family. Wore the hijab for most of my life. Now? I’m a decolonial, faith-friendly, sex-positive storyteller, with a love for mental health, justice, and spicy conversations.”

Dina founded the award-winning Sexdugram, Indonesia’s first digital platform for pre-marital sexuality education.

Now, she’s stepping into a new role as Host of Sex O’Clock News and a Community Reporter for the Family Planning News Network.

What can you expect from Sex O’Clock News?

This isn’t your average news update; this is where we flip the script. Dina will be reporting live on everything they told us not to talk about, including:

  • Pleasure as a right, not a luxury

  • Youth leadership beyond token panels

  • Comprehensive Sexuality Education that’s honest, culturally rooted, and decolonised

  • Faith and sex — not as enemies, but as layered realities

  • And yes, the politics of funding: who gets silenced, and who gets paid”

Through bold interviews, spicy commentary, and unapologetic storytelling, Sex O’Clock News invites the world to listen up.

Because, as Dina reminds us:

“Sexual rights are not side notes. They are front-page news.”

Follow the series. Share it widely. Join the conversation.

Because sexuality isn’t scandalous. Silence is. And at Sex O’Clock, we’re just getting started.
