Desde adentro: La voz de quienes construyen Futuros Seguros

Desde adentro: La voz de quienes construyen Futuros Seguros

This segment highlights the Safe Futures program in Petén, Guatemala, which supports pregnant adolescents and young mothers from Maya Q’eqchí and mestizo communities. Through sports and game-based learning, the initiative breaks cultural barriers and builds confidence, life skills, and knowledge about family planning and gender-based violence prevention.

Led by the AMA Association, participants share how safe spaces and economic-empowerment activities have improved independence and wellbeing. The segment underscores a vital truth: pregnant teenagers and young mothers are not problems to solve, but young women deserving of support, dignity, and opportunity.
